Skokie, IL, Friday, July 7, 2017—The Skokie Community Foundation announces a public event that will showcase the work of the Foundation’s third collaborative grant cycle in Skokie and the organizations that are doing this important work.
The Skokie Community Foundation’s grantees will share the positive impact of the Fund’s second grant cycle. This event will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 24 at the Skokie Public Library in the Business Resource Center.
In November 2015, the Foundation awarded six collaborative grants totaling $25,000. Each grant was awarded to two organizations that partnered to provide services to Skokie residents. Throughout 2016, each of the six collaborative projects has addressed aspects of community such as community art, education, community-building, and more.
The Foundation’s three grant cycles have increased services in Skokie and fostered collaboration in many exciting ways.
